The Southern Pacific 4449 (aka Daylight) ran between San Francisco and LA from 1941 until 1957. This train can be seen today at the National Museum of Transportation in St. Louis, Missouri.

The Super Chief was the flagship of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway. The modern streamliner was touted in its heyday as “The Train of the Stars” because it often carried celebrities between Chicago, Illinois, and Los Angeles, California from 1937 to 1974.

Built in 1864, the Stockton Terminal and Easter No. 1 (aka Mariposa) retired in 1953 after 89 years of service and can now be seen at the Travel Town Museum in LA.

Lastly, the Western & Atlantic Railroad #3, (aka The General) was built in 1855 and retired in 1891. It can be seen in Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History in Georgia!
